We are thrilled that our second issue of Stitch Craft Create, Summer 2012, will be hitting newsstands on May 8. So today, I wanted to share some fun "behind the scenes" photos captured by our faithful friend and photographer, Jennifer! As you can see by the above outtakes from our staff photos, we are a fun group. We work hard at our jobs - but there is never a lack of laughter and camaraderie around the office! (You can see the polished shots of our creative team in the Summer issue, or right here on our website.)
In our premiere Christmas 2011 issue, we shared a crafty button-themed holiday party; so to follow up with a warmer weather affair, you'll find a creative Garden Party feature in this issue. It was a beautiful day for styling the party and photographing on our porch, and thankfully it was unseasonably warm and sunny for late February here in Alabama.
It was also extremely WINDY! As you can see in the above photo, our photographer Jenn had to harness her lights to the door to keep them from flying away in the big gusts.
I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek behind our upcoming issue. You can get a preview of the Table of Contents and few snapshots on our website. And be aware that we are currently in open submissions for this year's holiday issue, as well as January/February 2013! We're looking for everything from Christmas and Hanukkah to New Year's, and of course general winter and Valentine's Day projects and articles. Check out the submission guidelines, and feel free to email us with questions anytime at editorial@sccmag.com.
Happy Crafting!
