Welcome to the fourth post in our Contributor Spotlight series, where we're introducing you to some of the fabulous designers and artists who will have work featured in our upcoming premier issue. Today we're spotlighting the amazingly talented Cynthia Shaffer, who thrilled us when she agreed to create not one, but two original projects for our premiere issue! Cynthia is the inventor of the must-try patchwork cone trees seen on our cover as well as a fun and fresh 3D flower stocking, both pictured below.
Cynthia is an accomplished mixed media artist who excels at everything from sewing and painting to quilting, knitting, crocheting, rubber stamping and beautiful combinations of all of these. She is also a fantastic photographer, and her blog is chock full of eye candy and unique tutorials for techniques and projects.
Cynthia has authored the books Stash Happy Patchwork (Lark Crafts, May 2011) and the upcoming Stash Happy Appliqué (Lark Crafts, March 2012) and has been featured on the cover of Art Quilting Studio (Spring 2010 and Summer 2011). In addition to her own blog, she is a regular contributor to the lovely Crescendoh.com.
