Tweet Meet Recap

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us for our second Tweet Meet Twitter chat last night! We had a blast chatting about all things Halloween with special guest Alexa Westerfield (@swelldesigner) and giving away a couple crafty door prizes. Congrats to the winners, @Allegorical and @CynGagen!

Some of the highlights from last night's chat:

@swelldesigner I am loving Tim Burton inspired crafts this year. Lots of black and white stripes! 

@angelabdotme I have always wanted to spray paint a pumpkin using a doily as a template. Saw it on pinterest, I think?

@Allegorical You take an old paperback and tear the cover off. Then cut a pumpkin shape and glue the first/last pages together.

@swelldesigner My apartment from a couple years back. Used a tablecloth 4 sofa cover & posters were $1 each at Dollar Store. ht.ly/e1x57

@swelldesigner I want to add a neon flair to my pumpkins, they will look so cool under blacklight! 

@swelldesigner Most of my pumpkin decorating parties are shorter fetes. I have them on a weeknight with girlfriends!

@angelabdotme I made ghosts with white balloons covered with gauze, hung from ceiling with clear string. And made Putrid Punch. (Putrid punch = lemon-lime koolaid, sugar, water, oj concentrate, ginger ale, orange sherbet, ice cubes w/gummy worms frozen inside.)

@angelabdotme It really is fun when they're little. The neighbor kids have never forgot that party :) 

@swelldesigner You guys should see my Halloween mag collection. It is outta control!
