Quilted Bouquet Cozy

Today, she has a free project for you to whet your appetite for our latest edition. Lend homespun detail to a casual wedding or special event with a quilted bouquet holder in your favorite fabric print!

Materials

• Fabric scraps 
• Small piece cotton batting 
• 1-1/8- x 26-inch strip binding fabric 
• 1-1/2 yards coordinating ribbon 
• 10 grommets and grommet tool 
• Blue water-soluble marker 
• Ruled straight edge 
• Quilting pins 

Instructions

1. Cut two pieces of fabric measuring 4-1/2 x 6 inches. 
2. Cut one piece of batting that also measures 4-1/2 x 6 inches. 
3. Use water-soluble marker to mark a diamond pattern onto one piece of fabric. 
4. Sandwich batting between fabric rectangles, secure with quilting pins and machine quilt in a diamond pattern over marked lines. Bind edges. 
5. Following package instructions, set grommets evenly spaced along short ends of quilted piece. 
6. Lace ribbon through grommets, tie in a bow and trim to desired length.
