Sisters, Virginia and Barbara, also known as Ginger and Bobbie, were born and raised in Tennessee. Their love of quilting was passed down to them from their grandmother and aunt. Collectively they have 40 plus years of quilting experience. Virginia’s twenty years in color development for the paint industry has been an asset while working with fiber. Since 1998, the two have also enjoyed the art of traditional primitive rug hooking.
Since the release of their book, String Quilt Revival,they have been traveling to conduct workshops, trunk shows and lectures. i love String Quilt Revival. I have not been quilting very long, as far as that goes even sewing. This technique using the stabelizer really allows me to produce quilts that look like i have been sewing for years. I started with their "all boxed in" pattern, and have now done the Stary Burst, Diamonds are Forever and beginning a 'seceret' project with one of their patterns. Their patterns really make you come alive and keep thinkig about which one to do next. I can't wait to complete one before I start another one. Thanks for this wonderful technique because I can impress even the most skilled quilter with the quilts I am able to do.
