Felted Easter Eggs

    Easter is just around the corner and Stitch, Craft, Create contributor, Vicki Ramsey, has a great craft project for you! These felted eggs are easy to make and can be used in your Easter decor or made as gifts. String several of them together to make an Easter egg garland, or use them as part of a centerpiece... however you use them, they will be sure to bring some crafty charm to your home for Easter!

1. Take a little wad of wool and roll it into a ball. 
2. Then wrap it in different directions with more strips of wool until it is about twice as big as you want your finished egg to be. Dip it into a bowl of warm water with a squirt of dish soap added, then gently squeeze out excess water. 
3. Start rolling it in your palms and shape it as you go into an egg shape. It will look very lumpy and messy for a while. 
4. Keep rolling and shaping until it begins to felt and stick together. It takes a while, but it will turn into a tightly felted ball. 
5. Let it dry for several hours. If there are cracks or lumps, you may add another very thin layer of wool and tack it down using a felting needle.
